Check it out! I'm no expert on kids, but I would think that these would make great gifts. I had a hand-sewn toy elephant (named Ellie, of course!) that my grandma made for me as a kid -- I dragged it around everywhere. One of the reasons I liked it so much is because I knew she picked the colors just for me.

I recently bought a book on knitted bears (in one of my recent book buying binges) and there are some really cute ones. A couple of ladies in my office are pregnant and I think I'm going to make each one a bear for a shower gift. Hopefully the little ones will have fond memories of their handknit bears. Those toys are equally cute and look like they'd be pretty quick knits.
