I was really picky about how the calf increases looked, so I ended up ripping and reknitting 3-4 time to get them right.  I'll write up the details and post it with a good picture when I finish the first sock.

They look great! I love that color. I started my monkeys in a solid yarn, and I'm thinking I might have to start over with a slightly variegated. We'll see how it goes.

ooh, I like where you're going with this!

My favorite stretchy bind off (shame, I have a leg warmer [NOT for me!] that uses it, but I left it at home today, otherwise I'd take a picture) is featured here: http://www.heartstringsfiberarts.com/suspended-bindoff.shtm

It's awkward at first, but it stands up beautifully. I'm beginning to use it to bind off everything because it's so much prettier and cleaner than regular bind offs. I'll take a picture when I get home.

That monkey is beautiful, I really like how it looks taller/longer.

Wow - you really finished that up fast! I'm not making mine nearly that long, though. I'm curious to learn which bind off method you choose.
