We're here! After a LONG drive Sunday night, we arrived in Santa Fe about 10:30pm. This morning, we had a mission: breakfast burritos! We went to our favorite breakfast place, Tia Sofia's, in downtown Santa Fe. It was as delicious as last time we were here. I got some yummy huevos rancheros drenched in green chile sauce.
We walked back to our apartment and loaded up for a bike ride. After some research, we decided that we would ride on the Old Santa Fe Trail. On our way out of town, we took a wrong turn and ended up on the El Pecos Trail (or something like that). It was fine though, because that road had a wide shoulder or bike lane the whole way. We ended up riding about 18 miles, which was more than plenty considering we're at 7,000 feet here, as opposed to the near-sea level that we're used to in Missouri.
Tonight we had dinner at Tomasita's, which is a New Mexican restaurant in a converted train station. This is another favorite from our last visit to Santa Fe two years ago. Yummmmmm.... sopapillas!

Oooh sopapillas! Now I'm really jealous! Glad you guys are having a great time!
Sounds like you're having a blast! I think Robert and I need to plan a trip to Santa Fe!
Love tomasita's. Tammy and I ate there when we were in Santa Fe several years ago. We are in San Diego. Aren't vacations great? Enjoy!
I am supremely jealous - I haven't been back to NM since I moved from there in '98. I miss it!
Well I thought I posted a comment yesterday from my blackberry while I was sitting on the beach in San Diego (just had to throw that in!) but don't see it. Anywhere in New Mexico ranks high on my places to visit and the last time I was there w/Tammy we ate at Tomasita's - you'll have to ask her about getting carded. I think that was about 7-8 years ago. Have fun and keep up the travel posts.
