Looking forward to March!

I just ordered some Dye-Your-Own merino sock yarn from Knitpicks to play with during Project Spectrum.   I've never dyed yarn before, so it should be a good introduction.  I know lots of people use Kool-Aid, and I've also heard of using food dyes or Easter egg dyes.  Any suggestions or resources I should know about?

Check out Adrian's crock-pot technique at Hello Yarn. I just got some Henry's Attic dye your own too and plan to use her method to dye it. Thanks for the kind comments about the shrug. I'll try to get a model together, so far only the dog is a taker...;)

What fun for Project Spectrum! I have dyed with KoolAid only, but I have heard good things about RIT dye, as well as the Wiltons Cake Frosting dye. This is sold at most craft stores too. I was thinking of trying dyeing later in Project Spectrum - maybe for the green month of May! ;) Can't wait to see!
