That Not-So-Funky Feeling
So I joined this Funky Scarf Swap. I'm really excited about the person I'm knitting for, although I feel some extra pressure to do something really cool. That's a secret, though, so I'll stop talking about it!
There's a yarn shop in my town that's going out of business. (60% off!) I dragged my husband there last weekend and I found some great yarns for my pal's scarf, in colors I think she will love. Then I started thinking about a design. I decided that I wanted to make up something original.... but what? I have started and restarted this dang scarf about 17 times in the last two days. Erg. Very annoying.

I'm still waiting for my yarn to come in. What I'm going to do with it is anybody's guess. Why do I suck at being funky?

It's bittersweet when a LYS goes out of business, isn't it? The clearances are pretty exciting, but then they go away and you miss them...
I'm not a swap kind of gal, but I'm watching this one with interest. What will people do? What kind of funkiness will be unleashed?

If you need to get into a funky mood I would suggest some Anita Ward Disco music...that always does it for me!
